Brief Introduction:– In words of the writer of this poem- “An unmasked feeling for my dad. It’s dark and morbid. But real and raw. “

Dad we miss you so much!
this feeling knocks silently on my door, 
engulfing the reality as such! 
I try to push them aside. 
Pretend, I’m not going insane.
But those lost memories play out loud like a tide!
a day comes suddenly with the waves of sadness; welling up my eyes,
tears roll down my face.
Dad, you won’t take us to the mountains or the museums anymore!
You won’t pick us up from the nearby park, 
No, not anymore!

Do you watch me on the days when I feel this unbearable weight inside me ?

Dad, every time I think of you I wonder, can you possibly describe me those glimpses,
flashed like a movie in front of your eyes…
Did you see me then?
Why can’t you pull me in that moment on your behalf?
I desperately want this to experience.
hollowness is my permanent friend now.

Dad, if you’re there do you see me when I stop eating my dinner, 
Time becomes too dimmer…
and I find comfort holding the pillow tightly on my chest,
Until, my tired mind drifts off into a deep haste…🖤
